A CUNYfirst Account is generally a student’s first name, last name and the last two digits of the CUNYfirst ID number: As an example, if the student’s name is Dwight Farazi and his CUNYfirst ID number is 00000000, his login will be Dwight.Farazi00.
An Application Account is generated by the student and will likely not resemble the format of a CUNYfirst Account.
Both a CUNYfirst account and an Application Account give students access to fill out a CUNY Application. If students have not previously interacted with the university, they filled out their application with an Application Account. Students who have taken courses with the university through College Now/Early College likely submitted their application with their CUNYfirst Account.
